Description

The winery specializes in citrus wine, which lacks appeal and recognition among customers. This rebranding project encompasses everything from renaming the brand name to designing the label and other brand elements.  I have focused on creating a symbolic logo using typography, combining the Korean alphabet (Hangul) and the English alphabet as design elements.

Halla

This is the rebranding project for a wine brand based in Jeju Island, South Korea. 

Halla Wine

The primary target audience is travelers visiting Jeju. The brand concept centers around the idea of a "Gift," aiming to make the wine an attractive souvenir for these visitors.

I have named the brand "Halla," inspired by Hallasan, the iconic mountain symbolizing Jeju Island. The vision for this brand is to become synonymous with Jeju souvenirs.

Jeju Island is renowned for its natural beauty, and I aimed to capture this essence in the brand design. The brand symbol I created consists of two main components. The upper part features two Korean consonants representing Hallasan, combined with Jeju’s sunrise over the sea. The lower part incorporates the English letters spelling "Halla," showcasing the beautiful sunset of Jeju. This design strives to create a strong, memorable symbol that resonates both locally and globally, positioning Halla as an emerging global wine brand.
